In many ways we are a disposable society; we use something once, throw it away and replace it with a new one. Memories cannot be replaced. You can make as many copies as you like of DVDs; this is a great benefit for a couple of reasons. You can share your joy by sending your wedding day on DVD to friends and family. Grandparents can each have their own copies of Johnny or Jane�s first step, first word, school plays, graduations, etc. There is no greater, more personal gift we can share, than that of our fondest memories. If you are the least bit intimidated by trying the VHS to DVD converting process; there is absolutely no reason to be. As a matter of fact, once you have converted one VHS tape to DVD you will probably go on to save every VHS tape in your library to the DVD format. You will only need a few things to get started, including a VCR player and a personal computer. If you opt to use a different program, be sure they package their applications to include both the software and hardware � you will need both.
