Never before has a society been more on the go than we are. Hectic schedules require us to run from place to place and from activity to activity. Most of this running around takes place in our cars or on trains as we commute to and from work. If you are transporting kids everywhere and they are totally bored in the back seat, there is an easy way you can keep them entertained, and quiet! Anyone who already has an iPod knows how great they are for listening to music; many people dont realize you can watch videos and movies on them too. You should definitely maximize the benefits of owning an iPod by using them to view movies too. Many of the iPod models come equipped able to receive downloaded movies, but some do not. Watching movies on your iPod as you commute to and from work will make the time fly by. Many people spend two hours (or more) on the train; you can easily watch a full movie each and every day during that time. You can only read so many magazines and complete so many crossword puzzles before you lose interest. It may be time to start watching full-length films instead. Most iPods will allow you to download videos and or movies to them; some do not, though. So, first and foremost, you must determine if your iPod is equipped for movie viewing. This can be accomplished easily. Pay a visit to the Apple website; theyll have a complete list of all iPod models. Find yours and you can read the specifications and capabilities of your MP3 player. You can find many software programs online which will allow you to convert your files and then download the movies to your iPod. In most cases, the technology is so good that you will lose little or no video quality during the conversion process. There are many programs out there for your consideration, here are a few that come highly recommended: iTunes 7.0, MP3 Rocket and iPod blender to name just a few. When the software is installed, you convert your old files to the new MP4 format once again, follow the simple instructions to accomplish this. When in MP4 format you can begin to download them onto your iPod. (Be sure you connect your iPod to the computers USB port before you begin to download movies). And that is all it takes. You now can watch all of your favorite flicks where and when you want to. And, you can watch them as many times as you like. If you get tired of any movie, you can easily remove it from your iPod. You follow the same simple procedure you would if you wanted to delete a song from your iPod library.
