Turner Classic Movies is a site well worth visiting if you are a fan of the classics. Films on which copyrights have expired (usually made many years ago) can be downloaded for free at Turner. One such movie available for free is the John Wayne Western �McClintock�. It is a very entertaining movie and the price certainly can not be beat. Turner Class Movies has a wide variety of films to choose from; some are available for download, others you can view clips and footage from. Documentaries and independent films (also called �Indies�) can be found in abundance � at no charge � on various internet sites. Simply search �free movie downloads� and you will be directed to sites that offer documentaries, independent films and films which belong in the public domain. Two documentaries which have received rave reviews and can be downloaded for free are �The U.S. vs. John Lennon� and �Battle for Baghdad � 2007�. Both of these are great documentaries � informative and entertaining. Not all documentaries on the site are of a serious nature. You can find documentaries in comedic and musical categories as well. You have absolutely nothing to lose, and potentially a good deal to gain by paying a visit to the site. If you are a fan of the �golden era of film�, treat yourself and pay a visit to Turner Classic Movies. Turner offers virtually every classic film ever made (many in black and white, some are silent films). You can browse through their expansive library and are sure to find films that are of interest to you. Many of the older films are ideal for family viewing. Movies which have expired copyrights are considered public domain. For that reason, the movies that qualify are available for free download at Turner Classic Movies. CinemaNow offers movies for rental � these movies are typically quite new. Currently, you can rent Sweeney Todd, Juno or No Country for Old Men (the Oscar winner) for $3.99 each. �Renting� at CinemaNow means downloading the movie to your computer � unlike Netflix (and others) that ships the actual DVDs to your home. You can not burn the movies you rent from CinemaNow to DVD � they contain encryption codes that prohibit such action.
