Diablo 2 is without a doubt one of the most impressive role-playing dark action games which can be played by a single player, two players through a local area network or it can even be taken to a multiplayer level through battle dot net. The game provides five characters of which the player can only choose one in order to go on a quest to defeat hellish monsters and demons, the player can choose to be a necromancer, a barbarian, and Amazon, a paladin or a sorceress. Each character has its own set of strengths as well as weaknesses. This game is played by acts (first act through the fifth act) and the level of difficulty increases from normal, nightmare and finally hell. This game is quite unique because a player is not only going against monsters but it's going against several final bosses which turned out to be ultimate demons such as Baal and Diablo, an interesting turn of events occurs around Act two when the player finds an Archangel (Tyrel) who is quite strong and is willing to take on the ultimate evil.
